Vera is situated in the East part of Almeria. It is an important touristic destination that benefits of the sun almost all year long. It features many stores, a street market and many leisure activities. (The 'Valle del Este' golf club is under construction and will be the biggest on the Almeria cost.)

Vera is well known for its cuisine that can be sampled in many fancy restaurants and tapas places. Inhabitants are very friendly and hospitable making of Vera an attractive city.

Amongst other attractions, Vera features 'La Encarnacion' church built in the 16th century, ' San Augustin' Royal hospital also built in the 16th century, 'La Victoria' monastery, 'Esperitu Santo' chapel and the historic town museum.

Almeria coast is located in the Eastern Andalucía. This is one of the areas with the highest number of daylights hours in the world. It is fitted with beautiful villages and natural landscapes. This area has been used in numerous movies thanks to its wild natural beauty, unique landscapes and an exceptional light. 'Sierra de Gata –Nijar' National Park and 'Tabernas desert' were the settings of movies such as 'Lawrence of Arabia' and 'Conan the Barbarian'.
